Apple Airpods max 2

Now that the hype surrounding the AirPods Pro 2 has died down, it’s time to get excited about what will likely be Apple’s next big audio release: the AirPods Max 2.

The rumored follow-up to the AirPods Max is one of the best news stories in the world. Affordable headphones aside, there’s a lot of anticipation for what these next-generation canisters will bring to the audio market and how they’ll integrate into Apple’s seamless ecosystem.

For now, we recommend tempering your expectations as little is known about the AirPods Max 2. However, we have seen some interesting rumors as well as recently filed patents that are enough to start talking about this much-anticipated sequel. And there will definitely be more in the new year.

As we continue to round up the latest news, check out what we already know about AirPods Max 2, including the price, release date, special features, and more.

Airpods max 2 Price and Release date

The AirPods series does not have a fixed annual release schedule like the iPhone, Apple Watch, or MacBook Pro. If we go by previous AirPods releases, the AirPods Max 2 will likely be released either in December 2022 or 2023, which is two or three years after the original hits store shelves.
Note that there was a two-year gap between AirPods 2 and AirPods 3, and three years between AirPods Pro and AirPods Pro 2. Also remember that the latter experienced some delays due to supply chain issues. caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Not sure if this affected production of AirPods Max 2. The price of AirPods Max 2 is unknown. We expect Apple to keep the original MSRP of $549, which is exactly what they did when they announced the AirPods Pro 2. This makes sense, especially if Apple ditches the first-generation version, as they quietly did with the AirPods Pro (1st generation). Note that it is no longer visible on the Apple website (it opens in a new tab).

Airpods max 2 design

Apple does not like radical reforms. They have a model in place, rebuild it, and implement new devices that match form and function. We’ve seen this with every iteration of AirPods, and it’s certainly happening with the AirPods Max 2. That means the sleek aluminum cups, expandable wrists, and mesh headband will likely remain intact. Size and weight can be reduced.
In terms of updates, some patents offer the best look at the upcoming AirPods Max model. This apparently Apple discovery shows that Apple is working on a touch-sensitive surface that would accept touch and swipe gestures to activate voice control. Could this mean the end of Digital Crown? Wait and see.

Another patent found by Patently Apple shows “headphones with removable ears.” It notes that “in some embodiments, the ear cushion assembly can be attached to the earcup with magnets or multiple snaps.”

Apple Patent device

Apple also received a patent for the Smart Case, which takes on a new form. The previous version was not well received and was mostly criticized for its wallet-like design, although it welcomed some cool features, such as a small ability to hold the headphones. This newer body is sleeker and makes some changes.

Apple reports that “the new case can have an opening for an internal part that accepts headphones.” In addition, Apple Patently has found what it describes as “an illustrative flexible magnetic ring for use in a magnetic shutter.”
Regular AirPods Max are available in five gorgeous colors: green, pink, space gray, silver, and sky blue. Gurman believes there could be more on the way, although Apple would be better off saving those for the AirPods Max 2.

Until Apple releases official specifications, all reports of AirPods Max 2 functionality are based on speculation and patents.
We know that the older AirPods Max are powered by the U1 processor, and since Apple developed a second-generation chip (H2) for the AirPods Pro 2, their next on-ear model may get the same treatment with the U2 processor. It also means that the AirPods Max 2 will receive several updates from the AirPods Pro 2, including adaptive transparency, Bluetooth 5.3, conversation boost, longer battery life, skin detection sensors, and Find My Support for the Smart Case.

Airpods max2  Accuracy

Apple has already confirmed that it will make the iPhone 15 USB-C compatible to comply with the new regulatory law of the European Union. It almost goes without saying that all future Apple products will get this feature, at least those that are released in the European market.
is a patent that introduces improved ANC and sound by detecting and reducing disruptive audio feedback, which Apple describes as “audio ringing.”

This would accurately detect and eliminate feedback, resulting in a more natural sound profile. The AirPods Pro 2 were rumored to have
lossless audio on Apple Music, but nothing materialized. According to Gurman (via the Power On newsletter), the reason we haven’t seen it in Apple’s wireless headphones is that Bluetooth “doesn’t have enough power” to handle it. He continues that Apple is “working internally on a solution” to replace Bluetooth and “will eventually bring this feature to future AirPods.” AirPods Max 2 are the perfect Apple product to debut this audio package.
