Louis Vuitton celebrates two decades of watchmaking by releasing its new ‘Tambour Twenty’.

In just two decades, Louis Vuitton has demonstrated its strong commitment towards watchmaking.

In 2002, House released a watch like no other: the Tambour. “Bold and innovative”, it is recognizable at first glance with its original shape, its round case sculpted from a block of metal and its signature applied lugs.

For the first time, award-winning Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper has been appointed a brand ambassador dedicated to watches.

Having become an icon for Louis Vuitton’s watch collection over the years, Tambour has become known for different expressions over time, while remaining faithful to the House’s DNA: Devotion to art and creative daring, combining technological innovation and exceptional know-how.

With the introduction of the Tambour Spin Time in 2009, it even reinvented the time display, with rotating blocks instead of hands and indexes.

In 2011, La Fabrique du Temps in Geneva and its master watchmakers, Michel Navas and Enrico Barbasni joined Louis Vuitton’s adventure to create exceptional timepieces.

Limited to 200 pieces, the Tambour Twenty is housed in a 1.5mm case with the component letters “Louis Vuitton” wrapped around the center and paired with a brown dial. The watch’s central chronograph seconds hand, 30-minute counter, and 12-hour counter are all selected in contrasting yellow.

The Tambour Twenty uses a high-tempo LV277 automatic movement—a highly modified version of Zenith’s El Primero movement featuring a 22-carat gold monogrammed rotor and a 50-hour power reserve.
