RERA Comes Down Hard On Brahma City, Imposes Penalty Of Rs 2.5 Crore

The Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), Gurugram, has fined a property developer Rs 2.50 crore for violating norms by selling plots without registering the project.

The authority has asked the project promoter, Brahma City Private Limited, to pay the fine within one month from the date of this notice.

“For violation of the provisions of the RAA Act, the authority decided to impose a fine of 2.50 kroner on the promoter because he did not apply for the registration of his ongoing project within the stipulated time and allowed the sale of plots in violation of the provisions,” RERA said in its order dated December 9.

According to the order, the developer sold as many as 219 plots without registering the project with RERA, which is a serious violation of the RERA Act, 2016.
