Nowadays, it’s uncommon to find a pilot who doesn’t plan, organize, or debrief their flights using a digital tool. That frequently entails utilising numerous platforms—until now.
A debriefing software company named CloudAhoy has been acquired by ForeFlight, a Boeing Company.
The deal was finalised in response to “customer desire for more integrated digital solutions,” according to a blog post on the ForeFlight website. ForeFlight, established in 2007, is one of the most widely used weather briefing and flight planning and management tools.
Post-flight debriefing, analytics, and flight operations quality assurance tools are all provided by CloudAhoy, a company founded in 2011. Pilots can digitally record their flight with CloudAhoy and then replay it to evaluate their performance. The programme is especially helpful in a training setting when the focus is on going above and beyond the requirements for certification.
The details of the merger have not been announced. For more information, visit the ForeFlight blog.
