Anish Melwani, chairman and CEO of LVMH in North America, said that sustainability is one of the company’s top priorities. “We are committed to doing our part to protect the planet,” he said. “This plan is a major step forward in our efforts to reduce our environmental impact.”

The plan includes a number of specific initiatives, such as:

  • Sourcing materials locally to reduce emissions from transportation.
  • Reusing or recycling 75% of demolition debris.
  • Using 50% sustainably sourced wood in the foundations of the building.
  • Sourcing 20% of all new building materials, including concrete, locally.
  • Ensuring that all electricity comes from green sources by 2025.
  • Conserving rainwater for gardens, toilets, and maintenance.
  • Shutting off lights inside the stores at night.

Partnerships for Success
