The all-new Tata Tigor.EV: More range, more features, more power.

Tata has released an updated Tigor EV starting at Rs 12,000.9 lakh, which is always Rs 13.75 lakh. The update brings more features, a longer range, and introduces two new versions.
The Tata Tigor EV has been updated with new XT and XZ Lux variants. The biggest upgrade to the Tigor has a longer range of 315 km or 9 km more than the old model. Additionally, Tata has given the Tigor features that were previously only available on the Nexon EV Max and Nexon EV Prime.

The most important of these additions is the versatile regen function with automatic brake light activation, which turns on the brake lights during regeneration.

Like the Nexon EV Prime and Max, the Tigor EV has similar four-stage regenerative braking, with level 0 cutting off regeneration and level 3 being the strongest. This helps to charge the batteries on the go, especially when stopping or going downhill, which increases the effective driving distance.

Other new features of the Tigor EV include cruise control, an indirect tire pressure monitoring system via a smartphone app, and integrated connectivity features with smartwatches.

Tigor EV also gets some new features like rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, cruise control, leather upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Features like multi-mode regen, Zconnect, smartwatch connectivity, iTPMS, and a tire puncture kit are standard on all versions.
Tata Motors previously released these new software-based features for free to Nexon EV owners. Tata will do the same for existing Tigor EV customers.

The updated Tigor EV continues with the same powertrain that was launched last year. It features Tata’s high-voltage Ziptron architecture, which uses a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor that produces 75 PS and 170 Nm. Thanks to this, the Tigor EV accelerates from zero to 60 kilometers per hour in 5.7 seconds (as claimed).

The Tigor EV battery is a 26-kWh lithium-ion unit that, together with the electric motor, complies with IP67 water and dustproof standards. The Tigor EV is capable of fast charging and can be charged from 0% to 80% in just 60 minutes. In terms of warranty, Tata also provides an 8 year/160,000 km warranty on the battery and engine.
